The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is the original source of health and vitality. It has its own thermal spring on the Alpine foothills in Eastern Switzerland. It all began in 1242, when the thermal spring, with its warm water at 36.5° C, was first discovered in the Tamina gorge. In 1868, the ownership of the land was transferred to Bernhard Simon, who opened the Grandhotel Quellenhof on 10 July 1869.
